New Farm & Teneriffe
The inner northern suburb of New Farm is one of Brisbane's most cosmopolitan suburbs, and contains many of the city’s trendiest bars and restaurants.
Thanks to its proximity to the city, its many tree-lined streets, and riverside location, it is also becoming one of Brisbane's most prestigious suburbs.
One of the area’s biggest attractions is New Farm Park. It attracts visitors from near and far with its perfect riverside picnic spots, cycling loops, and tree house-style adventure playground. New Farm is also home to the Brisbane Powerhouse, the former electric tramway power station that has been transformed into one of Brisbane’s premier performing arts spaces.
Teneriffe, once a farming area and industrial and commercial hub, has undergone an urban resurgence with the transformation of wool stores and factories into modern mixed-use buildings comprising residential apartments, trendy restaurants, cafes and boutiques.
